The last day of 2007 is finally here. And I’m sitting at my desk finishing up reports and reading through more reports. It sure is a memorable day :p
20 questions to help reflect the past year using 4 facets of prosperity:
1.Material prosperity
- Did you achieve your desired net worth?
- no idea
- Did you achieve your desired income level?
- never had a desired income since I’ve work in an NGO
- Have you built the habit of spending less than you earn?
- Sometimes, but still room for improvement
- Have you been able to eliminate debt?
- Yes! for 1 credit card. But still owe mum :p
- Have you built the habit of saving?
- Not much except for the small sum that’s auto debited monthly
- Have your career progressed as you wanted to?
- Nope, I had higher expectations
- Have you reduced your spending on some unnecessary expenses?
- I think yes. Spent on more practical things this year
2. Spiritual prosperity
- Have you found your life mission?
- still searching
- Did you feel fulfilled?
- not all the time. Am working to be complete in Christ
- Could you honestly say that you are happy?
- Yes, most of the time
- Have you built the necessary habits for spiritual growth? The habits here depend on your belief. They could be meditating or reading sacred texts, for example.
- not as much as I want to. But having been reading more spiritual books this year & did BSF for 3 months :p
3. Physical prosperity
- Have you built the habit of exercising?
- Yes, up till Sept. Then I quit gym cos of the expensive fees

- Have you built the habit of consuming nutritious food?
- Yes. Thanks to dearest who’s health conscious too

- Have you had good rest?
- Not as much as I wanted. But am able to rest more on weekends
- Did you feel physically fit in doing your daily work?
- Had more stamina when I went to the gym regularly. Feeling sluggish these days, it might be from my nature of work :p
4. Social prosperity
- Has your relationship with your spouse been as good as you wanted to?
- He’s not my spouse yet but I’m really amazed at how much we’ve grown. PTL!
- Has your relationship with your family been as good as you wanted to?
- Could be better with parents but am improving with sis-in-law & niece. I led the former to accept Christ recently. PTL again!
- Has your relationship with your friends been as good as you wanted to?
- I think we’ve reached deeper level of closeness
- Did you make a lot of new friends?
- Yes, from my partner’s side
- Did you get to know people from more diverse backgrounds?
- Not as many as when I was in Aceh.
